HackMeridian 2025 ("Hackathon") is a 36-hour in-person competition that challenges builders to create innovative solutions on the Stellar blockchain. Organized by NearX Educational Platform in collaboration with the Stellar Development Foundation (SDF), the event will take place on September 15–16, 2025, at the Copacabana Palace, Av. Atlântica 1702, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

Purpose. Participants will form teams and develop projects within one of two tracks.

1. Open Innovation - Dream big and build anything that demonstrates Stellar’s potential — from payments and remittances to tokenization, AI, or social impact tools. Your imagination sets the boundaries.

2. Composability - Take on the challenge of building on top of one or more of the following existing Stellar ecosystem protocols: Blend, Soroswap, DeFindex, Reflector and Kale. Create composable, modular solutions — from liquidity to lending, stablecoins, and beyond.

• Blend – capital-efficient, permissionless lending pools
• Soroswap – decentralized exchange for liquidity and token swaps
• DeFindex – indexing and data infrastructure for smart contracts
• Reflector – decentralized price oracle network for Stellar's smart contracts
• Kale – Stellar-based token earned via mining contracts
