This is one of those things that you didn't know you needed until you start using it.

Ever copied something, but then copied something else, only to realize a few seconds later that you want the previous thing you had copied again? We copy code hundreds of times a day, from our own code bases, stack overflow, etc. so this is bound to happen. What if you could have access to your entire history of everything you copied at your fingertips?

A clipboard manager allows you to do this. Instead of using cmd+v for pasting the most recent copied item, you can hit cmd+shift+v (configurable) to get a list of all items copied before and select one of them to paste at the cursor position.
