GitGuardian is a French and American scale-up that builds the code security platform for the DevOps generation. Global leader in the market of secret detection and remediation, our platform enables Dev, Sec, and Ops to advance together towards the Secure Software Development Lifecycle.

More specifically, GitGuardian detects secrets in developers’ source code (API keys, identification secrets, passwords, etc). It warns developers and their company’s security teams when company’s secrets are exposed either on public or internal repositories.

To put it another way, GitGuardian is the “Guardian” of the Code and helps developers from all over the world by preventing them from “pushing” secrets in their code and by helping them remediate these incidents.

INTERNATIONALLY PRESENT AND RENOWNED 🌍

GitGuardian is young but already a global company. With our headquarters in Paris (FR) and an office in Austin (US), we serve technology organizations, including Fortune 500 clients in all regions of the world. We currently generate more than 80% of our revenue in the US and address a market of more than 10B$.

SCALING FAST ! 🧗‍♀️

GitGuardian is growing fast and raised a very successful series B of $44M in December 2021 with top tier American and European VCs and prominent investors (Scott Chacon - co-founder of GitHub, Solomon Hykes - founder of Docker, Balderton Capital, Eurazeo and Sapphire.)

We went from 50 employees at the end of 2021 to 100 employees today with a forecast of 160 Guardians by the end of 2023!

VERY PROUD 🏅

We have been awarded with prestigious recognitions:

French Tech 120 in January 2022 FIC cybersecurity start-up of the year in 2021.

Our solutions are already used by hundreds of thousands of developers in all industries and GitGuardian Internal monitoring is the n°1 security app on the GitHub marketplace.

As a SaaS (Software as a Service) company, we offer two main solutions to our customers: GitGuardian Public Monitoring (GPUB) and GitGuardian Internal Monitoring (GIM). GPUB detects corporate secrets leaked on public GitHub. GIM detects secrets exposed in private repositories.

And you know what, this is only a teaser! We are working on many more code security solutions that lay the foundation of a Code Security Platform 😇

We recently launched an open-source canary tokens project called “ggcanary - GitGuardian Canary Tokens” to help organizations detect compromised developer and DevOps environments.
