You need to make it little dynamic so that whenever user opens the dashboard, they are greeted with a new experience i.e., surprise element is always there. While designing it make sure, user is well informed about all the modules/features she can access inside the app.

Before diving into design, I wanted to understand the need for personalization in the app. In my exploration, I have found out that personalizations and pleasant surprises can make the app feel more human and emotional. This will enhance the user experience so that it feels like the app is tailored towards the user using it. Designing for moments and helping out the user to meet their own needs is something I wanted to do with this task.
Since MARKS is an app that helps the students to prepare for exams, I wanted to understand what the students really needs apart from everything that is already included in this wonderful app. Through a little bit research and quick interviews with my friends in this short time frame, I have understood that during their preparation time, they have struggled with Motivation and Consistency. And its clear that exam preparation is a difficult process and its the duty of the app to help them.
Consistency can be rephrased into Habits since forming healthy study habits will lead the students to focus more and stay motivated also. The book Atomic habits has taught me the true power of habits in all areas of life.
Through my research, I have highlighted two key areas that I wanted to implement through design:

Then the obvious question is how? And what does this have to do with personalization and surprising the users. I will explain this through the two features I want to implement:
Motivation - Providing motivation doesn’t have to be static. Adding dynamic messages to the homescreen itself will delight the user and provide them motivation to study. The color schemes used are coherent with the current app design. The messages will be different each time the user opens the app.
Habit formation - It has been scientifically proven that tracking habits helps you to be more consistent. Applying a reward system for the users will help them to open the app and solve questions every single day. I have noticed that there is already a tracking system in the profile card. I wanted to do something different.
