I love video games.
In high school, I’d play 2-3 hours every night. While most of my time was spent playing against other players (pvp), I always enjoyed the campaigns.
Especially the campaigns which allowed you autonomy to choose your path.
While each game had the main quest or campaign you were on, they’d allow you to take on side quests. These side quests would provide new items or unlock certain attributes. And they were a lot of fun!
The idea of side quests has become a meme now.
An example is the Ball family. They have three children: Lonzo, LiAngelo, and LaMelo. While Lonzo and LaMelo are currently in the NBA, LiAngelo is releasing rap songs.
LiAngelo is on a side quest. Living his best life.
Right now, this book (v1) only contains your main quest.
By the end of this book, you will better understand what marketing is and how to do it today.
That’s the main quest. Focus entirely on this.
In future updates (v2, v3) I will begin adding side quests.
Side quests will help you take this theoretical knowledge and actualize in a specific domain. Marketing is vast. This book doesn’t cover every corner of marketing (I.e., content, SEO).
An example of a side quest would be a chapter on how to use AI within marketing.
It would go beyond the theory of integrating AI into your processes. It would include use cases and specific tactical advice from AI experts (and maybe me).
The fun part? You decide the side quests.
Not only do you decide if and when you take on a side quest.
You also decide which side quests I develop first.
Maybe after reading, you want more insights on how to do SEO (search). Let me know, and that will be the side quest I begin working on first.
