This system takes the approach of failing successfully. It focuses on gaining data, how to analysis that data, and utilising it to intentionally improve and grow your account.

#1 - Define your “why”

First, define your “why” to give you a rough starting direction. However, you need to understand that your direction will pivot based on what is working, and what you enjoy creating.

FORMULA:

**“I make content about [TOPIC] for people who are [WHO/STRUGGLING WITH WHAT], so they can [OUTCOME].”

Matt’s Example: “I make content about self-growth, social connection, and creative expression for the past version of myself (young people who feel stuck, insecure about something they can’t change, socially anxious, and afraid to take action alone), so they can build confidence, be social, find purpose, and create something meaningful by stepping out of their comfort zone.”**

#2 - Post… a lot

From here, you need to post as much as you are capable of (daily or once every 2 days), having each video be in relation to your why. The amount you post will also depend on the production quality of your videos. You could probably pump out 2-3 simple talking head videos a day, but maybe only 1 storytelling reel a day.

For these videos, I would use a viral hook template ******and adjust it to my why, ensuring that I’m using the “but/therefore” method in the body of my video and delivering on the promise of value (POV) that I made in my hook. I would make each idea in at least 3 different content formats to ensure that I’m concept testing and format testing.

Promise of Value

The “promise of value” (POV) is essentially what value you are promising the viewer will gain by watching your video.

Take this hook for example: “If you’re bored in life it’s because you’re not doing enough side quests.”

POV = WHY not doing side quests is making your life boring.

AND REMEMBER: If the body of my video does NOT live up to the promise made in the hook, viewers will scroll.
